"The Elephants in the Room"

President Obama is either clueless or he genuinely believes “we the people” are.  I purport it’s the latter.  He has this way of revising history even as it’s being made, smoothing things in his favor, fully expecting we’ll buy it and eat it up like some scrumptious dessert.  It’s as if by his saying so, makes it so, the truth be damned.  If only we could be smart enough to see as he sees, and he tries so hard to help us do just that.  But a funny thing happens on the way to a TEA Party when one becomes the target of such spin… like Dorothy discovering that “The Great and Terrible Wizard of Oz” is just a man behind a curtain, a mouse with a microphone, the truth becomes irrevocably crystal clear and spin becomes obvious, and thus, thereafter impotent.

The Emperor has no clothes and we know it, however, he doesn’t know we know it; at least this is how Obama behaves.  It’s as if he mistakenly believes we still see Oz when we’re staring directly at the man behind the curtain.  It’s embarrassing for him to continue to unabashedly display his goods as if we can’t see them.  Surprisingly, he doesn’t seem embarrassed at all.  Instead of such exposure sincerely humbling and changing him as it did Oz, Obama further insults and alienates us by continuing to act like the ‘Great Oz’ expecting us to keep playing along.

What does a naked Emperor want us to believe, after all?  Not that he is naked but that we aren’t seeing clearly.  And if we aren’t, it could only be that we didn’t hear the message correctly, right?  Please!  It’s like the proverbial elephant in the room that the stubborn mule refuses to acknowledge even when everyone else already has.

Such is the case during the November 3 press conference the day after the wave of the 2010 mid-term elections returned America back to a sea of red.  How does Nancy Pelosi view such “Astroturf” now?  But I digress…

Obama said that living inside the White House bubble, “it is hard not to seem removed.”  Seem removed?  He even claimed in the subsequent “60 Minutes” interview that he was “surprised at the political cost” of Obama Care.  Obama can’t believably go from the retaliatory mocking of the grassroots TEA Party early on in the uprising of the movement, proclaiming, “you see folks waving tea bags around,” to an “I just didn’t realize” type of response almost 2 years later.  Of course he knows!  He just doesn’t think we do.  This is why he is deflecting the truth in a cloak of feigned humility, spinning the reason for this wave as a “messaging” problem he needs to correct instead of acknowledging exactly what it really is: a clear repudiation of his policies, policies that are bleeding the greatness out of America, and at an alarming rate.

The only messaging problem Obama actually has is he’s been “messaging” us to death on our TV’s almost daily for nearly his entire Presidency.  This overkill doesn’t change what we know, no matter how many times and ways he explains, as if we’re stupid children.  We understand that he wants to “fundamentally transform America.”  This is crystal.  We want to prevent the success of that agenda.  No matter how he slices the turkey, it’s still unwanted stuffing inside.

I've been listening to various pundits follow Obama’s lead, speaking for “we the people” as always, minimizing and misinterpreting the truth about the mid-terms.  These are the moments that most frustrate us.  We wish we could jump through the television and “pundit” for ourselves, which is why we rally, blog, and pray that we are heard.  And the left wonders why we are such an “angry mob.”

In addition to Obama’s “messaging” claim, there’s:

-          It’s not about Obama Care but about the economy.
-          It’s not about anti-Democrats but anti-incumbents.
-          It’s about making Obama a one-term President.

The strands of truth are:

-          It’s about remaining the Republic as we were founded.
-          It’s about the economy and Obama Care.
-          It’s about anti-Democrats and anti-RINO Republicans, not anti-incumbents.
-          It’s about making Obama a one-term President…

We cherish the gift of the Republic our Founders paid so dear a price to give us.  We don’t want to fundamentally transform America into a European welfare state; hence, we do not want bail outs, higher taxes, increased spending, big government, or Obama Care which is one sixth of the economy.  We don’t want to become a socialist Nation, not even one sixth.

We don’t want Obama Care, or Hillary Care, or any other Universal, single-payer, Government-run Health Care system in America – period.  We love our private sector, capitalist, free-market America.  Our Country will not economically recover until we instill the necessary confidence that will only come from stopping Obama’s transformational agenda and undoing his policies.

The wave most definitely was repudiation of Obama’s policies and of anyone, regardless of Party, who aided in the success of his agenda.  We don’t want any more tyrannous rule of Democrats or the enabling help of RINO Republicans who have held open the door for them to do so.  It’s not just that Obama Care passed into law, it’s equally important who ensured it and how.  By force is un-American and unacceptable.  We’re cleaning house – our House.

As long as Obama holds the veto pen via the Oval Office, his policies remain in place.  This is why we want Obama to be a one-term President; not for partisan political reasons or because of racism, but to ensure the successful repeal of Obama Care before it can be implemented and therefore never reversed.

All of these strands are tied together like fingers forming a fist.  The mid-term wave was just our first punch.  To mistake the Conservative wave as anything but stopping the bleeding and voting our voice back into the game is to miss the whole point.  A 2 year gridlock, if necessary, is preferred to save our Country.

But America is still on life support.   This is why the elections of 2012 will be a tsunami in comparison.  Anyone who stood with Obama and aided his agenda will be voted out right along with him.  It makes zero difference what any of them do between now and then.  They brazenly forced their hand when we had no say, thus sealing their fate.  Now they have no more say.  The lesson must be learned that we the people hold the power of our Nation and we’ll never accept going down this road ever again.  John Boehner, and Republicans like him, gets that.  His election night speech and his press briefing the following day articulated it well.

Dr. Phil has said, “You cannot change what you do not acknowledge.”  Obama would be wise to heed those words.  We know the Emperor has no clothes.  We believe what we see and hear with our own eyes and ears.  Ignoring the elephant in the room has only multiplied the herd and filled the House with them.  Election night was a Republican stampede he shouldn’t paint as anything else.  There are just too many elephants in the room now to ignore.

“It’s About the Votes, Stupid”

When I was young, my mother used to say to me, “Do as I say, not as I do.” For as wise as she was sweet, this clever quip never worked for me. The example set in what she actually did had the greater impact on my own choices and behavior. I have otherwise heard it aptly put, “Your actions speak so loud, I cannot hear what you are saying.” In the current political climate heading into the 2010 mid-term elections, the usual siege of campaign rhetoric, promises and smears are no different; these mere, empty, last minute words cannot undo 20 months of choices and behavior, and therefore, no longer have enough depth to hold air let alone our trust.

The polarizing issues of the 2008 Presidential Elections began disturbing the slumber of the politically apathetic. Unfortunately, as often goes with apathy, the awakening comes a day late and a dollar short, now racing from the disadvantage of the back of the field. It’s like “The Frog in the Kettle” analogy: toss a frog into boiling water, it will immediately jump out, but, put the frog in tepid water and slowly turn up the heat, it will boil alive because it won’t even feel it.

While the cost of our apathy eventually gave us an Obama Presidency, fortunately, we the people did feel the heat (called the TARP Bill) soon enough to begin our subsequent uphill fight, furiously calling and writing our respective Congressional Representatives to not support the Bill, all to no avail. Against the will of “we the people,” especially those of us in the Republican Party, even John McCain, the 2008 Republican Presidential Candidate, voted in favor of it, speaking huge disappointing volumes.

What a rude awakening. Not only was our voice not heard, worse - while we’d slumbered, our voice became irrelevant to those voted into Office to serve us. Instead, Congressional Representatives, including Republicans, were lording over us and serving themselves, as if this was normal and acceptable, as if they knew what was best for us, the ignorant and stupid. We were just asleep and therefore silent… but no more.

This under-estimation of we the people has subsequently exposed that it’s not we who are the ignorant and stupid or the only ones asleep. While we are now wide awake and motivated to action as reflected in the grassroots TEA Party movement, they remain clueless, especially to the fact that we feel most betrayed by the votes of those in our own Party, the “moderate” Republicans, or RINO’s (Republicans In Name Only).

From that first vote for the TARP Bill to all the votes that quickly followed Obama’s Presidential Inauguration, we the people have been taking copious notes. RINO’s made 3 key mistakes, thus, outing themselves and forever etching their names in our minds: 1) they voted for Obama’s radical agenda at every turn, 2) they believed we would forget these votes, and 3) they demonized us for opposing them. They’re like the dross which surfaces and is then removed in the process of purifying silver. All it took was turning up the heat to expose them. As we fast approach the 2010 mid-term elections, we haven’t forgotten. Anything but – we’ve been like a stampede of horses chomping at the bit to get out of the gate and to the ballot box to finally be heard.  The heat of the TEA Party is purging the dross of compromise right out of the Republican Party.

Still fresh in our minds are the names of every RINO who voted for the passage of Cap and Trade, the Stimulus Bills, the Obama Care Bill, and the confirmation of radicals to our National Supreme Court, all in spite of the passionate opposition from the majority of we the people, essentially shoving their will down our throats time and time again. When Cap and Trade barely passed, due to the votes of just 8 RINO’s, a “Wanted Poster” of them quickly circulated over the internet.

The reason there is such uproar over the primary election of Christine O’Donnell instead of incumbent Mike Castle is because RINO’s still don’t get it. Dick Morris does.

        Morris said labeling candidates like O’Donnell “extremist” was based on outdated political calculations. “There is a basic misconception which the establishment has about these primaries. When a tea party candidate or an ‘extremist’ wins the primary, normally that would mean there’s a lesser chance of winning the election.”

        “The issue is not extremism or moderation, its sincerity or insincerity.”

        “Fiscal and economic concerns are more important to voters.”

        “Someone who is an ‘extremist,’ in the words of the establishment, is probably more trustworthy on those issues.”

We don’t care about O’Donnell’s “dabbling in witchcraft” as a teenager, or any other stupid issue for which she has been attacked, and more scrutinized and scandalized than Obama ever was. We only care about the conservative principles she stands for and how she will vote. We already know by the aforementioned "Wanted Poster" what Castle believes and how he votes.

What is so surprising then about the ousting of these RINO’s like Crist, Murkowski, and now Castle? Their votes for Obama’s radical agenda, against our will, were painful to helplessly witness. We prayed, we called, we wrote, we rallied, we did all we could to make it clear, “Please do not vote for Obama’s agenda!” Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” For each vote that betrayed the will of we the people, our hearts grew increasingly sick with deep disappointment. Of course we no longer want them to have the opportunity to vote against us again. We don’t want any more painful and hopeless angst with each vote cast against our will; we want the peace and confidence that the votes will represent it.

Call it extremist, purist, or foolish, we don’t care. We only care about one thing - the votes. That’s what it boils down to. There’s no mystery here. It’s about the votes, stupid!

We don’t care about the attacks on the TEA Party or the candidates we endorse, attacks which only reinforce our assessment of the opposition. We are not swayed but their deflection of blame onto Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, or Fox News. They have no one to blame but themselves. No one else placed their vote in the box.

We don’t care about last minute campaign ads trying to save their hides; our minds were made up when they voted. Campaigning now doesn’t erase all they’ve done and how they voted in the previous 20 months.

Fortunately, in the beauty of our sacred Republic our Founders established the failsafe of empowering us, the people, with voting these public servants not only into but also out of Office.

President George Washington said in 1787, "The power under the Constitution will always be in the People. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can--and undoubtedly will--be recalled."

Patrick Henry said, "The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government."

Instead of building upon Reagan’s proven conservative legacy after he left Office, RINO’s have dragged the Republican Party away from it by the leaven of their compromise. First it paved the way for an Obama Presidency, and now it’s been paving the way for the blasphemous Obama agenda to fundamentally transform America. They have dragged us so far away from true Reagan conservatism that our current efforts to return to our Founding principles of smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and a strong national defense, are now ironically viewed as extremist.

Every time we have been diminished, mocked, attacked, and ignored, it has only fueled our resolve. We want public servants who indeed serve the will of the people and not a radical Presidential agenda.  It is time for the Republican Party to get behind we the people and no longer the other way around.

In the end, if they do not represent the will of the people when they vote, they will be purged by the votes of the people they refuse to represent. If they vote for us, we will vote for them. If they don’t – we won’t. It doesn’t get clearer than that.

"No More Leaven of Compromise"

The recent primary battle between longtime Republican Senator Mike Castle, an establishment politician liberal Republican, and the grassroots TEA Party citizen contender Christine O’Donnell, perfectly exemplifies the very serious problem that conservatives have with the Republican Party; they keep endorsing the wrong candidate, just as they did when John McCain became the only option for the 2008 Presidential Election. It wasn’t until the principled conservative, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, joined the ticket that conservatives felt they finally stood a fighting chance against the Obama campaign machine.

The RNC continues to make the mistake that they need “moderate” candidates in order to secure independent votes. Even under the leadership of Michael Steele, the RNC fails to recognize that such compromise of true Republican principles, conservative principles, secures the liberal agenda, as often, these “moderate” Republicans, otherwise known as RINO’s (Republican In Name Only), tend to cast Congressional votes in favor of the liberal agenda. This compromise is exactly how Obama Care, as well as all the other tax and spending Bills which Americans passionately oppose, was shoved down the throats of the American people.

Conservatives do not want leaven-like Republicans in Office who “reach across the aisle.” Americans want candidates who have enough principle and conviction to stand firm on the conservative side of the aisle. Never before in America’s history has this mattered more as the Obama Administration is in full force to “fundamentally transform” Her.

If the RNC fails to understand that the TEA Party movement is not just about opposing Obama’s radical “fundamental transformation” agenda, but also about conservatives taking back the Republican Party in order to have an arm to fight with let alone a leg to stand on, then they demonstrate why their own tone-deaf candidate endorsements will cause their eventual removal from Office as well, via the cleansing affects of the ballot box.

A majority of Conservatives today still hold to the same convictions of former President Ronald Reagan who shared in a 1977 CPAC speech about revitalizing the Republican Party. He encouraged Republicans to stand on conservative principles, and then make room for others to join. He demonstrated the success of this concept, eventually winning the respect of the Democrat Party, hence the term, “Reagan Democrats.”

Sacrificing conservative principles to make room for independents was not the compromise Reagan encouraged. He did not espouse trading in common sense to win them, only to then hand over the reins of the Party to them. If it takes apples of compromised principles to get them, it will take those same apples to keep them. This is exactly how the Republican Party became the tail wagging the neutered dog; conservatives and TEA Party patriots are passionately trying to correct this crippling error.

However, if independents, most of whom are center-right, are won without compromise, because of common sense principles, then the Republican Party will once again be the empowered Party of the successful Reagan era. This is not a complicated task. Until they do, the Republican Party will continue to be a lukewarm losing Party, something this Country desperately can no longer afford.

One well known definition of insanity is continuing to travel down the same road and expecting a different result. How insane has the RNC become? Compromise does not work! If you give the left a peephole, they make it into a loophole to advance their agenda, an agenda that a majority of Americans adamantly do not want. The Bible says in Galatians 5:9, “A little leaven, leavens the whole lump of dough.” It doesn’t take much.

Americans have been making this as clear as possible every time they get behind candidates that better represent conservative principles, even as far as rejecting the “RNC endorsed” anointed candidates. This recently happened again in Alaska with the primary win of Joe Miller over the RNC backed Lisa Murkowski.

Why then, is the RNC working so hard like a Democrat to demonize the people’s choice of Christine O’Donnell to secure the win of Mike Castle? If there is even a remote chance he could vote with the Democrats on any part of Obama’s transformational agenda, as he has already done, he is of no help to conservatives fighting to remain the America of our blessed inheritance.

Thursday, the Christian Science Monitor crafted an article that asks, “Could Mike Castle be part of a new Republican middle?” The answer is a resounding “no!” Mark Levin clearly explained on his Facebook page, “This is what I’ve been warning about both on my show and here. So-called moderates will be swept into office on the coattail of the anti-Democrat, anti-Obama, pro-TEA Party surge in November, and they will organize against conservatives and the conservative agenda… It will mean the end of the GOP as a potential conservative party that can counter statists, and more importantly, it will mean that America has crossed over to a socialist nation.”

Sarah Palin called into Sean Hannity’s radio program Thursday to officially give her endorsement to Christine O'Donnell. "Let me go ahead and endorse Christine O'Donnell because, Sean, she's the conservative in the race," Palin said. "She is against Obama's cap-and-tax scheme, she is against Obamacare, and she is for the free market principles that need to get plugged in to put our economy back on the right track."

There is a clear line drawn in the sand in this a tug-of-war for the Republic which we cannot afford to lose; either America will be fundamentally transformed into a European style welfare state, looking more like Venezuela, or America will remain the Republic of Her founding. There is no middle ground. America still has a chance, but the window of opportunity is quickly closing. Risks of compromising shots in the dark between these two camps will all but secure the unacceptable success of the Obama agenda.

Compromise, therefore, is no longer an option. It is how Republicans have been needlessly drawn this far into the battle to begin with; we are far too close to that middle line. Any closer to the fire and it will consume the small hope that still remains, which is why conservatives will no longer concede to their compromise; they will never give up this fight. Instead, they will continue to vote for solid and unleavened candidates in order to revive America and, once again, become that shining light upon a hill.

The RNC would be wise to finally get a clue and get the leaven out of the Republican Party already. America cannot afford to become like a fluffy loaf of white bread stripped void of all its nutrients. It is up to them to come back to the people and stop dragging the people away from conservatism. It isn’t working. If they do not, they will make themselves a losing third party with no one to blame but themselves.

"The American Poker Game" (updated version)

** AUTHORS NOTE:  Democrats have continued to proclaim that voters will forget their political frustration come the November mid-term elections, even as it is now fast approaching.  I share this article again (originally published at "American Thinker," December 22, 2009), with a few minor updates, to emphasize the point: voters have not forgotten, feeling the same now as then, perhaps even more so.  With growing concern for the future of our Country, voters have been impatiently counting down the days until the November 2, 2010 vote, an election day already predicted to be historical.


When the Senate reached the 60 votes needed to pass cloture on the Obama Care Bill in late 2009, President Obama declared “this scored a big victory for the American people,” continuing to ignore that “we the people” didn’t consider this a victory by any stretch. At that time, a CNN Poll revealed that 61% of Americans didn’t want Obama Care in any form. A Rasmussen Poll showed that 57% of voters said passing nothing would be preferable to passing the legislation.  Since then, a recent Rasmussen poll explains that 58% of Americans favor repealing the now official Health Care Law.

The passage of Obama Care into Law alone has been enough to critically upset the voters.  Add to it the many "transformational," far-left policies of the Obama Administration being forced upon the American people against their will, as well as the constant demonization of them for their opposition, and it is no secret as to why 71% of Americans have been angry at the current Government.

There’s been discussion that the Democrat’s believe “we the people” will forget all of it in the fast approaching November 2010 mid-term elections. This belief underscores the huge disconnect between the people and them. The Democrats and the Obama Administration are blinded by political ambition, emboldened by the 2008 Elections, even now.

No poker face – the majority of Americans are brazenly clear: they have not forgotten and are not going to forget. Still, the Democrats cannot see that the voters haven’t folded their hand in this poker game they are playing with American lives; there is no intention of doing so. Every time they refuse to hear the protests, downplaying the significance of the grass roots TEA Party movement, the voters fight harder to be heard. They raise the stakes of the game, the voters see their call, toss in more chips, and raise them in kind.

The majority of Americans fervently do not want to “fundamentally transform” America. They want to live in the free America of their blessed inheritance, the Republic for which the Founding Fathers gave their lives, the shining light on a hill. John Quincy Adams said, “You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it." Anything less is a shameful travesty, spitting on the blood which was shed to provide it.

We are America, not Cuba, not Europe. Our forefathers left Europe and fought the Revolutionary War to give us America. Why would we throw that away to become like Europe once again? As Proverb 26:11 says, it is “like a dog who returns to his own vomit.”

President Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” If the Obama Administration believes Americans are going to lie down and accept the “remaking” of America, they completely under estimate that the people's votes hold the winning hand with plenty of constitutional chips to spare.

The Obama Administration can keep upping the ante in this fight for America, even until November 2, 2010. Rest assured, voters will respond accordingly on this day with an unexpected passion. Forget? Voters can hardly wait to finally be heard! They are like a stampede of horses chomping at the bit to get out of this gate and get to the 2010 Elections. They anxiously anticipate the moment they can reveal their winning hand, triumphantly gathering the chips of their America. They'll not stand for the remaking of America. But they’ll fight without ceasing to retake Her. Though Democrats cannot see it, it’s no gamble at all for “we the people.” The odds are in their favor. They have grown increasingly grateful to the Founding Fathers who paid with their lives to make sure it would be so.

Obama’s “Car” Metaphors Inadvertently Drive Home Republican Points

For the 2010 mid-term and 2012 elections, President Obama and the Democrats have chosen to continue to campaign against… George W. Bush? Really? That’s the game plan? Is this overly exhausted tactic the best they have? If so, they should hit with their best shot and all but assure their defeat. If they believe this is a winning strategy for them, then they are more deluded and disconnected from the Country than previously thought.

Ironically, Bush is being given more credit and power than anyone on the left ever wanted him to have.

After a disappointing attempt by Obama to make humorous “digs” at Republicans during a speech given at a DNC fundraiser on August 2, the joke is on him, as he provided enough meat to create a great “Republican Ad” sandwich. Thinking himself so clever, and believing he was making great metaphorical digs, he inadvertently made the Republican’s case for them instead.

Obama’s first mistake was mentioning Bush. Two years into his radical “fundamental transformation of America,” many Obama-voting Americans, suffering buyer’s remorse, no longer buy this worn out rag of a strategy. On the contrary, they join a majority of Americans who are so opposed to Obama’s radical policies that they would now view the imperfect Bush White House as a refreshing drink of water comparatively; at least it was still the untransformed Republic of our Founders, something that could actually be workable. Billboards have been popping up around America with a picture of Bush and a caption that asks, “Miss me yet?” for a reason. What a statement of the current political climate!

Obama has beaten this dead “Bush” horse so much that it has become glue, but, unfortunately for him, not the kind that sticks. Two years later, the cat is so far out of the bag with the now more informed American people, the argument has lost its potency. In fact, it’s so obvious that it’s embarrassing to see him still use this huge turn-off of a deconstructed, benign and ineffective strategy. Now falling on deaf ears, it has the opposite affect Obama mistakenly hopes for. Instead of helping boost his rapidly declining approval, it exemplifies why there is such a decline, further, it increases it.

During this speech, Obama yet again used a now familiar Alinsky tactic, made familiar by his own over-usage of it: deflection by blaming others for the very things of which he is guilty. With an apparent and usual smug pleasure in his own chiding, Obama said, “… they're betting on amnesia… They're counting on that you all forgot. They think that they can run the okey-doke on you. Bamboozle you." Hilarious! But not how he intended, rather, because, obviously, he is the one hoping Americans will have amnesia about the past two years, hoping they have forgotten. Reminding them of their former ire against Bush is his own bamboozling deflection from himself and all he has radically done the past two years, against the passionate disagreement of the American people, a deflection that no longer works. The damage he has done in so short a time easily overshadows anything Bush did. It appears that only Obama doesn’t yet realize it - Bush is so yesterday. All eyes are now fixed on Obama and his Administration. The clear disapproval of Obama’s policies are still so fresh in the minds of the American people, no “Bush-like” reminders are needed. And while the left likes to declare that voters always forget, they are in for a huge shock in November as voters have been chomping at the bit to get to the 2010 mid-terms and stop this “Wonderland” madness.

As far as exactly whose policies “got us in this mess in the first place,” awakened and thus, better educated Americans know that the economic downturn began in 2006 when Democrats took over the Congress. Blaming Bush and conservative policies is a hollow argument when history clearly proves the conservatism of our Founders works. Obama claims Republicans drove us into an economic ditch but he dug us out. Just because he says it over and over again does not make it so, especially when there is an abundance of proof otherwise. He fails to recognize that the American people are watching him drive us off a cliff a la “Thelma and Louise” style! His policies have tripled our National Debt in less than two years! In this time, he has spent more all by himself than all previous Presidents put together. He cannot revise history and sell it like a welcomed lemonade stand in the summer heat. Americans are no longer thirsty for his spin, or his radical policies.

As for his mocking of the number one item on the Republican agenda being the repeal of his Healthcare Bill, saying, “I have no idea why you would want to repeal that in the first place,” of course not – he is clueless! Repealing the Bill is the greatest music to America’s ears! It is the number one item on the agenda of the American people who never wanted it in the first place. Obama has forced this upon the American people and before it can do any damage, Americans want it shut down. What does he think the TEA Parties have been about? Why doesn’t he recognize how the TEA Party fires were turned up considerably during the Health Care debate last summer, both in rallies and those “violent, angry, mob-filled” Town Hall Meetings? Republicans will be considered heroes if they succeed in repealing the monstrosity of a Bill.

Lastly, Obama’s “Car” metaphor, with the double entendre of the “D” standing for “Drive” and the “R” standing for “Reverse,” was the garnish on the sandwich. When driving forward means driving off a cliff and destroying the Country, you can’t get into reverse fast enough to prevent it! It is embarrassing that he fails to recognize that slamming on the brakes and throwing it immediately into reverse is exactly what the American people want!

Republicans would be smart to make the most of this one speech – Obama provided all they need to make their point, both for the 2010 mid-terms and the 2012 elections. They could create a multitude of creative ads using clips from the speech to “drive” home the point: this President and the Democrat-ruled Congress are “out of touch!” The evidence comes from Obama’s own lips, through his not-so-clever quips, as if the majority of Americans are still bamboozled by his spin.

Indeed, Obama should run against Bush and equate Republicans with the TEA Partiers, just as they have planned. Brilliant! The American majority is no longer asleep and is not so “stupid” as Obama once counted on. In the summer of 2009, he jumped the shark and now he is trying to use old tricks to swim back upstream to his former glory days. However, all that his tactics do is cement everything Americans have learned since then until now: mostly that Obama’s “Hope and Change” feels more like “Hype and Chains,” and all that Americans hope for now, effective immediately, comes in this new mantra: “Change it back!” That would be a very good place to start.

Sticks and Stones

I am done – done, playing along with the political agenda of the radical left. I refuse to be the dog wagged by this small tail any longer. The roaring accusations of racism is not from the mouths of many lions but rather from a few mice with microphones. Just because they accuse us TEA Party patriots of being racists, “official” NAACP injunctions and all, does not make it officially the truth, any more than if they claimed all elephants are tiny. They are just words, lying words, definitely repeated too often, but empty nonetheless. They are mere sticks and stones.

I’m done defending against such baseless and unproven accusations, and foolish, shameful tactics. It avails nothing. They are irrelevant to our cause, so why are we allowing them to find a foothold by even acknowledging them? Why do we continue to allow their disgraceful, exploitative, and divisive blasphemy to distract and deter us from our cause? Why are we falling for their ploy to render our movement ineffective? If this is their best shot, we need to dust it off and forge ahead. When your armor is the Teflon of the truth, even sticks and stones, though they may sometimes hit you, just slide off. It is the truth that always sticks, that always remains. And as Jesus said so well, in John 8:32, “Then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

The truth is that the TEA Party movement is about America loving patriots of all races, political parties, and backgrounds, who 100% disagree with the Obama Administration’s radical agenda to “fundamentally transform America” into a far left, socialist Country. We do not want higher taxes, to grow Government, increase our national debt to unsustainable levels through slush-fund spending bills, nor do the majority of American’s want Universal Healthcare. Despite how earnestly and passionately we have tried to make these desires heard, we have been completely ignored and dismissed. The TEA Party movement began as a means for all like-minded Americans to band together and find a way to finally be heard. Our number one rallying cry of “Can you hear us now?” stems from Rick Santelli’s first question, “President Obama, are you listening?” The more we have been ignored and dismissed, the greater the movement has grown. And despite all hopeful speculations that we will lose steam and eventually die out, we have continued to grow and pick up steam.

Make no mistake; we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, even if Senator Lindsey Graham declares we will. He can get in the line of denial right behind Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid. The truth is that our accusers have finally realized that, indeed, we are not going away of our own accord, so now they must do all they can to make us go away. Calling us “racists” is their best and only shot, which will be successful only if we leave our offensive position to go on the defensive against these lies, playing right into their hands.

When others do not have the ears to hear, it becomes a waste of time to defend ourselves in explaining the truth. Our energies are better spent staying the course of our cause to retake America and steer this Country back in the right direction towards liberty and justice for all, the gift our Founders painstakingly gave of their lives to ensure for us. Teetering this close to tyranny leaves us little room for distractions. Proverbs 4:27 tells us, “Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”

TEA Party patriots have one goal which is to take our Country back from the jaws of tyranny and return her to liberty, and thus for all Americans. Stay the course; remain on the offensive. Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain. We are in the driver’s seat so do not surrender the wheel to the passengers trying to pick a baseless fight with us. Drive on and leave them on the side of the road shouting amongst their selves. They can’t handle the truth.

The truth is we know that TEA Party patriots are not racists. It is called the TEA Party for a reason that has nothing to do with race but everything to do with opposing too much “tax and spending.” The acronym, “TEA,” stands for “Taxed Enough Already.” We just love and want liberty – period. It is that simple. Glenn Beck coined the perfect phrase: “Not racist, not violent, just no longer silent.” To make our cause anything else is a bald face lie and a shameful tactic of distraction, plain and simple.

The truth is that those who accuse us of racism for opposing far left radical policy - policy, a connection for which there are no dots of logic between the two points, foolishly undermine their selves in crying wolf. Playing the race card in a non-racial game makes for a losing hand for them.

The truth is that we care about legitimate racial issues which is why we find it so offensive to not only be called a racist but to also see legitimate concerns undermined. No one wins here, not even the accusers who further divide all of us with their lies. This is not what we want – far from.

We just want our Country heading back in the right direction. We just want to stop the radical destruction of America. We just want to stop the tyranny and get big government out of our lives. We just want our voices to be heard, and heard they will be very soon at the ballot box during the November 2, 2010 mid-term elections, when we fire those who no longer represent us as they were originally voted in to office to do.

As we march toward that day, we must remember to stay the course of truth, ignoring and dismissing this baseless distraction – that is all it is. It is all they have. Sticks and stones…

Will never ever stop me.”

"The Raping of America"

I knew it the moment the first plane hit the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001; America was forever changed. While there's no appropriate comparison to the huge loss of American lives that day, that is not my point. Please hear my heart as I mean no disrespect, having been personally affected by the events of that day. My following sentiments are only about the defining impact of that day and the grief associated specifically to that point.

As I sit here, just days after Obama Care has passed, I feel a similar anguished loss for America in that I know we are forever changed - we've begun to fundamentally transform. For certain this moment is historic; more of infamy for the majority of Americans who never wanted this raping of our Republic, this spitting on the shed blood of our forefather’s who died to give us the blessed inheritance of free America. Like 9/11, we will never forget.

To be clear and to the point, the majority of Americans do not want Obama Care, though president Obama claims otherwise. We fought it but he proclaimed “the American people championed it.” He’s repeatedly parsed statements like this, distorting the truth to suit his point. His tactics are so dysfunctional and manipulative; I’m amazed that any Mental Health expert worth their salt hasn’t yet called him out. I will.

Most offensive is how Obama uses the “either-or” tactic, excluding any other option – like the truth, from the equation. For example, he purports that if you’re against his reform, you’re for the status quo. The excluded truth is, we’ve long wanted Health Care Reform, and agree on several points of specific needed reforms; to say otherwise is 100% wrong. We don’t agree on how to reform, hence, his reform, and that’s the point, that’s the truth.

Regardless of the few “good” things that might be in Obama’s reform Bill, things repeated as their enticing talking points like children remaining on their parent’s coverage until they are 26, there are too many not so good things included. Drowning dog poop in chocolate sauce doesn’t make it a desirable dessert. Obama Care comes at too high a cost and too many chains attached: unnecessarily requiring the government to take over the Health Care System that works for 288 million Americans to help the 12 million Americans without care, and, taking over one-sixth of our economy in order to enact it.

Another less direct “either-or” tactic Obama uses is “guilt-manipulation” to allude that if we don’t want reform, i.e., his reform, and unless we agree with the way he cares about the less fortunate, then we are heartless, compassionless, selfish people that don’t care at all. He exploitatively props up the misfortunes of others to reinforce this point. The excluded truth is, we indeed do care, deeply and sincerely, but we disagree with his belief that government must mandate then facilitate our acts of compassion, and that, in a manner that undercuts empowering the helpless to rise to a better outcome for them. Like the saying goes, “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach him to fish, feed him for the rest of his life.” The excluded truth is our compassion is true compassion as it reaches further than just giving fish everyday.

Jesus clearly exhorted that we’re each personally responsible to help the helpless, like the example of the Good Samaritan. He preached that we should give, directly, from the heart. He never preached that the government must facilitate your help, taking from you to redistribute to the poor. Conversely, in fact, He turned over the tables in the temple with righteous anger because the leaders were oppressing the people much as we’re being oppressed today.  (I'll share a more in depth explanation on this verse in a forthcoming article entitled "Socialism is Not Christian.)

How we help matters just as much. For both the sake of the giver and the receiver, charity is to come from the heart, not mandated from, then facilitated by the government. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Let each one give as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.” It’s not just about the one who is helped. It equally matters the heart that does the helping; the greater sincerity of heart, regardless of the amount, the greater the gift. The story of the “widow’s mite” beautifully illustrates this point. Being one of the helpless didn’t keep her from giving, and she gave all she had which was next to nothing, but Jesus said she gave more than all.

When government interferes in this process, by just handing out fish everyday, it undermines the good that’s meant to be gained, both in the heart of the giver and in the empowering life skills gained by the receiver. Do we need to improve in this area? Indeed, however, Obama’s socialistic way will ensure we never improve; in fact, it perpetuates the endless cycle of poverty and governmental rescue instead of breaking that cycle and charting a new course towards the true liberty of strong, self-respecting character and personal empowerment.

How weak when Obama and the Democrats call Republicans “the Party of ‘No,’” falsely accusing them of playing partisan politics and wanting Obama to fail as President only because he’s a Democrat. The first excluded truth is, we want his policies to fail; huge difference. Policies aren’t the same as the Office and to equate them is incorrect and dishonest. We love America so we don’t want any American President to fail. However, when it comes to unconstitutional, socialist policies which oppose American values, of course we want them to fail.

The other most infuriating excluded truth is, “we the people,” not the Congressional Republicans, are not only “the party of ‘No’” but “the party of ‘Hell No!’” This is what the grassroots TEA Party movement is all about. We’re the one’s opposing Obama’s policies. We’re the one’s marching on Washington, shouting from the collective depth of our hearts to be heard. The disparity in how each Congressional Party has responded to us is where you find the truth.

Obama and the Democrats have ignored us, belittled us, attacked us, lied about us, and eventually forced their will upon us. They’ve also demonized Republicans as the ones who are against us. We know the truth; it can’t be “spun” into anything else that we’ll ever believe. The more they’ve attempted to, the more they’ve exposed how devious they are, hence, their rapidly declining approval ratings.

Congressional Republicans are the only ones who have finally heard us and thus, are fighting and speaking for us in opposing Obama’s policies. If only they had done so sooner, we could’ve prevented having to enter into this fight for our liberty. Better late than never; we won’t surrender to becoming the USSA. Though we’ve failed in stopping the passing of Obama Care, we will fight to repeal it.

If Democrats believe in 7 months at the mid-term elections, that we’ll be so pleased with the “chocolate” in ObamaCare (the small part they’ll strategically enact immediately) that we’ll forget what they’ve done, they’re hugely deluded. This embarrassing ignorance is what comes from trampling on the voice and will of the people. By dismissing us and playing politics with our lives, we’ll appropriately respond in November with an unexpected and overwhelming passion, firing them, and they’ll continue to lose for a long time to come.

Forget? Think again! Though there’s amazing healing that makes you stronger like a bone after it’s been broken, make no mistake - no one who’s been raped ever forgets. On the contrary! We’re like a stampede of horses chomping at the bit to get out of this gate and to the mid-term elections. We’ll not stand for the remaking of America. But we’ll fight without ceasing to retake Her. The odds are in our favor; our Founding Fathers paid with their lives to ensure it would be so. Like 9/11, we’ll heal, but we will never forget - never.

"Progressive Radicals Gone Wild"

We are America; not Cuba, not Europe. Our forefathers left Europe and fought the Revolutionary War to give us the gift of America, the shining light on a hill. Why would we throw that away to become like Europe once again? As Proverb 26:11 says, it is “like a dog who returns to his own vomit.” And yet, this is exactly what president Obama and the progressive Democrats want to do beginning with the passing into Law their infamous Health Care Reform Bill, or Obama Care. It matters not that the majority of Americans passionately oppose it; the desperation, with which they are driven to force this monstrosity of a Bill on the American people, from resorting to unconstitutional tactics to committing political suicide, is revealing of the obvious answer.

Behaving like a candidate instead of a President, Obama has campaigned for his Health Care Reform Bill like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, using deceptive rhetoric to appear as though it’s about charity and compassion, and that he is fighting for “we the people.” In truth, it’s not about the people at all; it’s about progressives obtaining power and control. It’s about this once in a lifetime opportunity to finally grasp their holy grail, to “fundamentally ">transform America” into a European style welfare state. Health Care is merely the door to achieving this ultimate goal; it’s the skeletal foundation for this radical transformation. And they’re determined to get through that door at any and all cost, even if it means politically raping the American people and falling on their swords in the process. Saul Alinsky, Mr. “the ends justify the means,” would be proud.

Americans now understand progressives, and thus, are finally fighting them. Progressives therefore realize, pushing through their agenda is no longer the slam-dunk they originally hoped it would be. With the November mid-term elections fast approaching, and the influencing voice of the grassroots TEA Party movement representing America’s true majority, time is of the essence. They can no longer afford patience, nor can they give up, especially when they are so close to their victory they can actually taste it. Instead, it’s become a fight to the death, either the death of their agenda or the death of capitalist America, which is why they are pulling out all the stops to pass Obama Care, of late attempting to use the unconstitutional “Deem and Pass” Rule. They’re willing, in their own estimation, to “heroically” sacrifice their soul for the cause - if they had a soul.

Emboldened and deluded with the arrogant intoxication of being the super-majority, progressives forget that the Constitution has ensured their power is temporary. While recent polls have shown that conservatives are the American majority, progressives behave like they are the majority, like their “moment” to rule has finally come, and conservatives will never be back in power again. This false sense of security has resulted in foolishly exposing themselves with the same gleeful abandon as the women in “Girl’s Gone Wild.” In doing so, they’ve ignorantly handed Americans the evidence needed to defeat them. Once Jack is out of the box, you might be able to put him back in, however, now we know what he looks like and who he really is. The element of surprise is gone. To then keep acting like we’re still clueless only underscores how exposed they really are.

One of the most perplexing reveals is how anti-American progressives are. They’ve stealthily infiltrated our schools, courts, and legislatures, like a “Trojan Horse” filled to the brim with an agenda that is a direct threat to the free America of our blessed inheritance for which our Founding Fathers gave their lives. John Quincy Adams said, “You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it." Anything less is a shameful travesty, spitting on the blood shed to provide it.

If progressives hate America, why are they here? Why bother trying to fundamentally change her when there are Countries like China, Venezuela and Cuba, already made to their preference? For touting themselves as the voice of diversity and tolerance, they certainly have none for allowing the existence of America’s diversity in the world; they would rather have more of the same.

No matter how many speeches Obama gives, and no matter how deceptive the packaging, we fervently do not want to “fundamentally transform” America, especially destroying the world’s best Health Care System and with the governmental taking over of one-sixth of our economy to achieve it.

1) Obama claims if you oppose his plan, then you simply want the status quo.
- However, most Americans agree that we need reform. We disagree with the need to overhaul the whole system to resolve the issues at hand.

2) Obama falsely purports that 30 million Americans are without Health Care.
- The real number is more like ">12 million. In his book, “Liberty and Tyranny,” Mark Levin explicitly details the truth.

3) Obama claims there is such a dire urgency for reform, exploitatively propping up the misfortunes of others to reinforce his point.
- If it’s so urgent, why doesn’t it become effective until 2014?

Why is it necessary to completely overhaul the Rolls Royce in order to fix faulty or broken headlights and that for such a small percentage? Let’s just fix the headlights. If 12 million Americans are lacking coverage, let’s extend to them the already existing Medicaid program without disrupting a system that is working for the remaining 288 million. And while we’re on the subject, let’s fix the current problems with Medicaid instead of creating another dysfunctional government run program.

In the end, Obama and the progressive Democrats believe that they know better than us and once we have Obama Care, we will come to like it. However, no one who’s been raped goes on to later enjoy sexual relations with their rapist.

No matter how passionately we’ve said “no,” begging and pleading with Obama and the democrats to stop this America-altering atrocity, they’re proceeding with the unthinkable governmental rape of this Country anyway, smiling, without shame, like it’s perfectly normal. It’s disgusting on every level – except to them.

President George Washington said in 1787, "The power under the Constitution will always be in the People. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can--and undoubtedly will--be recalled."

Patrick Henry said, "The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government."

President Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”

If the Obama Administration believes we’re going to lie down and accept the “remaking” of America, they completely under estimate the vehement disapproval of the American people. Our votes hold the winning hand with plenty of Constitutional chips to spare.

Their holy grail - of power and control through Health Care - is so close they are willing to politically rape, pillage and die for it. And politically die they will, beginning in November. Progressive radicals gone wild, indeed…. gone off the deep end…. and then overboard.

Check and Check Mate

Memo from “we the people” to President Obama: Republican Scott Brown’s miraculous election to the newly ordained “people’s seat” in liberal Massachusetts – Check. Just how much this game changing move has resonated with Obama remains to be seen. However, I do think I could venture a good guess – not much… yet.

Prior to the recent State of the Union Address, I correctly predicted President Obama wouldn’t triangulate and move to the middle as Clinton did in 1995. He’d dismiss Brown’s win and remain course with his radical agenda. Since his community organizing days, this has always been the priority, to “fundamentally transform America.” He’s repeatedly told us this outright so my prediction isn’t impressive.

Obama’s agenda will never change, especially now that he’s so close to achieving his far left goals, but after Brown’s win, how he delivers it will; he’ll give the appearance that he’s moving towards the middle without actually doing so. For Obama, perceptions are everything and reality is of little consequence, as long as the ends justify the means, as Saul Alinsky taught him.

It’s important to Obama that we buy the “perceptions” he’s selling. Any affront to them is met with his immediate attempts to correct it. He rewrites the truth to create a new “reality” no matter how obvious and ridiculous. This is why the White House dispersed the “spin trifecta” of David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, and Robert Gibbs, who shamelessly echoed Obama’s false interpretation of Brown’s election. Instead of acknowledging the clear referendum it is, they audaciously asserted that it’s an Obama affirmation. Obama told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos “The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office.” When Fox News’ Chris Wallace addressed that Brown ran on being the 41st vote against Obama Care, Gibbs replied, “Well, that may be what he campaigned on, but that's not why the voters of Massachusetts sent him to Washington.”

The incessant defensive spin makes it appear that criticism and clear referendums fall on deaf ears, especially coming from the rapidly growing grassroots TEA Party movement, who strongly oppose his policies; even from an election like Brown’s. Rest assured, Obama hears. He’s keenly aware of more than his ego will allow him to admit. Unfortunately, that same ego is buried under thin skin that exposes just how much the criticism so frequently strikes a nerve. He can’t help himself; the distracting Achilles heal of his narcissism is predominant and everything else is viewed and prioritized through that skewed lens. He spends more time responding to criticism than he does to the concerns of “we the people.” He hears us, but he refuses to listen; there’s a vast difference between the two and therein lays the problem.

Obama interprets "we the people," spinning the truth to affirm the agenda he pushes at our expense. He campaigns against us for that agenda with the same focus and fervor employed against McCain in the 2008 election. We’re mere pawns to him in his chess game of political strategy, manipulated with sweeping, crafty rhetoric in order to serve his purpose. We’re smart enough to recognize political posturing that gives the appearance of connecting with us. But, real connection can’t be faked; it’s there or it isn’t, as revealed by subsequent actions. Obama’s actions speak so loud we can’t even hear what he’s saying.

During his State of the Union speech, Obama reframed our anger at him as being about partisan arguing. He claimed our anger was because “TV pundits reduce serious debates into silly arguments and big issues into sound bites,” and as frustration with “a Washington where every day is Election Day.” He invalidated the legitimacy of our anger by implying we believe partisan lies told to us by the GOP. At the recent annual retreat for the House Republicans, Obama said, “You've been telling your constituents, 'This guy's doing all kinds of crazy stuff that's going to destroy America.'" Oh, if we only had the truth – his truth, then we wouldn’t be angry.

Oh, if Obama would only listen to the messages on the clever, homemade TEA Party signs then he would know our truth:

- We don’t want government controlled Health Care or Cap and Trade – ever.

- The only way to stimulate the economy is – get government out of it! Get out of the private sector and leave us alone – period.

- We don’t want tax increases, spending bills, or bigger government.

- We want the president to uphold his oath to protect and defend our Country and the Constitution.

- We don’t want to fundamentally transform America – never!

A recent Rasmussen poll revealed that the majority of Americans feel this way. That it doesn’t matter to Obama is beyond infuriating. Instead of listening and appropriately responding to what “we the people” want, he continues to pull hard left to achieve his long time goals, whether we like it or not. He believes he knows best and will eventually win us over. He doesn’t know how wrong he is! Recently, on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Obama said Wall Street Fat Cats “still don’t get it.” How ironic! This is how we feel about Obama. How can we be any clearer? What will it take for him to listen and finally get it?

In the address, Obama threw the Republican’s a few bones, giving the appearance that gets it. He mentioned freezing discretionary spending, looking at offshore drilling, and building nuclear power plants. And all of a sudden Health Care Reform is not urgent anymore. Finally the focus is on jobs and the economy. Big deal! It doesn’t really matter how many bones he throws or which part of his agenda he works on if his solution is more government. As former President Reagan eloquently made clear, “Government is not the solution to our problem. Government is the problem.”

He may dismiss Scott Brown’s election as being any kind of serious message. Some called it the “Scott Heard Round the World,” heard by everyone except the Obama Administration! After all, Brown represents only one changed Senate seat and Obama still holds the majority with 59. However, at the coming mid-term elections, our votes will reduce that number more significantly. Our Founders were wise to establish a Republic providing a system of “checks and balances,” putting proper use of power in the hands of the people at the ballot box. Come November 2010 and 2012, make no mistake, we the people will finally be heard - “Check mate!”

"Obama Hears Us, He Just Refuses to Listen"

** (Due to the timeliness of the subject and the Presidents State of the Union Address in a few hours, I am publishing this article here instead of another outlet.)

The recent miraculous Massachusetts Senatorial election of Scott Brown to the sacred “Kennedy Seat,” appropriately renamed by Brown as “the people’s seat,” was a huge, definitive message sent to Washington: “We the people” passionately oppose the Obama Administration’s far left policies, specifically the taking over of our Health Care System, and we desperately want to stop the incessant bleeding out of our liberty through the steam roll of a Democrat Supermajority. A post-election CNN Poll affirms that 70% of Americans believe ending this super majority is best for the Country.

Washington’s answer to our escalating question “Can you hear us now?” is an undeniable “Yes we can!” However, they actually are denying that they received the message we sent with Brown’s election. The White House dispersed the “spin trifecta” of David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, and Robert Gibbs, who shamelessly echoed Obama’s false interpretation of our message. Obama told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos “The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office.” When Fox News’ Chris Wallace laid out Scott Brown’s platform, specifically that he ran on being the 41st vote against Obama Care, Gibbs replied “Well, that may be what he campaigned on, but that's not why the voters of Massachusetts sent him to Washington.” Instead of acknowledging it as the clear referendum that it is on Obama’s agenda, they audaciously assert that it’s an Obama affirmation.

Obama-spin is the typical knee-jerk reaction we should expect. Obama responds to criticism by rewriting the truth, no matter how obvious and ridiculous, to create a new “reality.” When it appears to tarnish his “image,” he comes out swinging. He can’t help himself; his narcissism is predominant and everything else follows. On Martin Luther King Day he gave a speech finally admitting that it “stings.” We know this as his frequent defensive public reactions are embarrassingly more transparent than he realizes. His unpresidential war with Fox News is one of many exposé’s of his thin-skinned nature. He even mockingly retaliated against the grassroots TEA Party movement by saying that we were “waving tea bags around.”

I’ve long suspected the problem isn’t that president Obama can’t hear us. Oh sure, he strategically tries to appear to not, but the aforesaid examples are among many that expose how he clearly does. What’s worse is that he refuses to listen and respond appropriately; that’s the real issue. The evidence, as revealed in his constant spin, belies the truth that he’s intentionally disregarding us in order to push through his radical agenda at all cost. It foretells what Obama will do moving forward, which is as he’s always done from his community organizing days and from day one of his presidency – continue hard left. His agenda will never change, but how he delivers it will. He’ll wrap his far left policies in a more populist and fiscally conservative package to give the appearance that he’s moving towards the middle without having to actually do so.

What else can Obama do? Continuing to be unwaveringly dogmatic and obvious, especially now after the Brown win, will undermine all Democrats heading into the upcoming November mid-term elections. He has to back down without appearing to surrender. A sudden move to the middle will only seem like obvious, disingenuous posturing to save his political hide. It’ll also further anger his far left base which he can ill afford. In the realm of political games, he has backed himself in between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Continuing to play those games is exactly what has turned off the majority of Americans.

The only acceptable response he could and should give is a humble one – to “we the people.” To acknowledge the truth and genuinely change course would reflect that he understands our message, as Clinton did in 1995. He should say that he has finally heard us, he understands clearly what we want, and the point is to do right by the American people instead of executing his own personal agenda. Anything less would simply be more of the same bitter pill we just made clear we desperately cannot ever swallow. However, he won’t do this because he sincerely believes his radical policies are best for America. Eating any kind of crow, even for the American people, isn’t something he can chew let alone digest.

Obama has made it clear that he’d rather accomplish his agenda and serve one term than to not accomplish it at all. He acknowledged this potential outcome in a recent interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, stating, "I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president." He admitted, "I will not slow down in terms of going after the big problems that this country faces." In other words, his agenda hasn’t and won’t change. Even Vice President Joe Biden insisted that the administration is "not backing off a single thing we believe in."

There’s no mystery; Obama will move ahead with his agenda however he must, whatever the cost, re-wrapping it in new populist packaging, hiding it in smoke and mirrors,. His refusal to listen and heed our message, in the end might be worse than eating political crow; it might just indeed be his Waterloo after all.

The Great Hate of the Left

The left has long accused the right of being compassionless hatemongers. We stand for law and order, but they call it fascist oppression. We attend Tea Party rallies to express passionate opposition to the radical agenda and policies of the Obama administration, and we are called hateful racists. Our accusers forget that our president is also half-white, and further, that we couldn't care less either way -- race has long been a non-issue for us.

We attend town hall meetings to make it clear that we oppose a health care bill the Democrats insist on forcing down our throats, and they call us a hateful, angry mob. All passionate opposition to their point of view, even on the faces of smiling Tea Party participants, is considered angry hate. Because conservatives do not show compassion in the same way that liberals do, liberals say that conservatives have no compassion at all.

The way the left spins the truth about the right is deception at its finest. It is no wonder there is so much confusion about the truth in politics! The truth is that looking at conservatives through liberal-colored glasses makes for a complete distortion.

- Why is it considered "hate" to oppose the left but considered "civil rights" to oppose the right?

- Why do the left see government interference and control as compassionate liberation while conservatives see personal empowerment and responsibility as truly compassionate and liberating?

- Why is the Fairness Doctrine fair only if it shuts down the voices of conservatives?

- Why do the left call themselves pro-choice when the only thing they choice they endorse is to kill an unborn or partially born baby?

- Why can the left be harshly partisan when a conservative president sits in office, but when a far-left president sits in office, they want us all to come together? (And if we don't, we are hatemongers.)

Why are those on the left permitted to do and say appalling things that would destroy anyone on the right? Such hypocrisy is infuriating because it masks the truth that the hate is really a projection of the misery and hate within their own hearts.

However, every once in a while, we are provided a perfect teachable opportunity to expose the truth, as was the case during the recent health scare of Rush Limbaugh, in which the left exposed themselves in full regalia. Shameful and beneath any American was the hate displayed not fifteen minutes after it was reported that Rush was taken to the hospital in serious condition. There was a flood of responses in online commentary -- so many praying for his recovery, and disgustingly, some for his demise.

It is one thing to hate someone. However, for Americans, it crosses the line when that hate makes one wish for the harm or demise of another. To pray for anyone to die, let alone with such brazen arrogance and glee, is appalling and breathtaking.

As usual, I saw no compassion from a left who hail themselves as the "leaders of compassion for all people." I saw more hypocrisy from the left, who railed in hyperbolic outrage against anyone on the right who didn't grieve with them over the loss of Senator Ted Kennedy. Reading their hateful commentary made me wonder if these people all graduated from the Alan Grayson School of the Shameful and Ignorant.

Where are Nancy Pelosi's crocodile tears now? Where is her heart-wrenching concern for "this kind of rhetoric" -- the kind that creates a climate in which violence takes place (from the left, might I remind her)? Where is the co-called "nonpartisan" outrage at such behavior, the kind that screams from every biased mainstream media outlet when a clever and homemade Tea Party sign disagrees with the Obama administration? Why are they not also being called out on their legitimate hate behavior and language?

The truth is that no matter how passionately we oppose the policies of President Obama, no matter how fervently we want to remove Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid from office, and no matter how angry we are about being ignored by Congress and the Obama administration, no true conservative would ever, ever wish for the harm, illness, or death of any of them! It is unconscionable to even think it, let alone to say it, even in jest.

For a people who constantly talk about restoring our best values, I daresay they need to take a good look in the mirror -- and then consider that they should be first in line for that handout. Praying for anyone to die is beneath any American. Those whose hate would compel them to wish another person to die desperately need the grace of God for a heart and a conscience, as they are already reprobate and half-dead themselves. For all of their prayers for death, they need our prayers for life so much more.

An Expose of Hypocrisy and Hate – On the Left

The left has long accused the right of being compassionless hate mongers. It’s one of the more common liberal mantras; a staple in their cupboard of ‘talking points’ that poison the political spectrum. The way the left spins the truth about the right is deception at its “spinning” finest. It’s no wonder there’s so much confusion about the truth in politics. Looking at conservatives through liberal colored glasses is a complete distortion.

          - Conservatives with a passionate opposition to the radical policies of the Obama Administration, are irrelevantly labeled as hateful racists, forgetting that the President is also half white, and further, conservatives could care less either way – race has long time been a non-issue for them.

          - All strong disagreement with liberal ideology, even on the faces of smiling Tea Party participants, is considered extremism and angry hate.

          - Conservatives attend Town Halls to make it clear that they oppose the Health Care Bill which Congress insists on forcing down their throats anyway, and they are called a hateful, angry mob.

          - Because conservatives don’t show compassion in the same “way” that liberals do, they say that conservatives are hateful, having no compassion at all.

Why are those on the left permitted to do and say things that are appalling and outrageous but would otherwise destroy anyone on the right? In a liberal world, what is good for the goose is definitely not good for the gander. The now famous, recent “misspoken statement” from Senator and Majority Leader Harry Reid is a great example, the one where Reid referred to Obama as “light-skinned” and with “no negro dialect.” The judgment of liberals is, for Harry – forgiveness; for a Republican – not so much.

Obama said, “As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.” The ever vociferous Al Sharpton, who calls out every perceived instance of racism he can find on the right, also gives Reid a pass, excusing Reid’s poor “word selection” and redirecting the issue back to his work on Obama Care. Clearly, Sharpton exposed his own hypocrisy, only caring about racism when it serves the left and their socialist agenda. That agenda comes first; it is far more important. Any threat to it must be shot down, even if it means swallowing racist crow in the form of “forgiveness.” Even Senator Diane Feinstein stands behind Reid, stating that “all of us are imperfect.” That is, if you are standing on the left.

As for anyone on the right, we need only look back 2 months to October 2009 at the renewed outrage at Rush Limbaugh for a 2003 comment he made about Donavon McNabb while working at ESPN. For weeks, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and others relentlessly beat this dead horse, crying “racism” with such moral indignation. As a result, Rush was disqualified from the opportunity to become partial owner of the Rams.

Then of course, in 2002, former Mississippi Senator and Senate Majority Leader, Trent Lott, made his own statement. The ensuing relentless outrage resulted in Lott resigning from his leadership post. The ever forgiving then-Senator Obama helped lead the charge in calling for the Republican Party to “drive out Trent Lott.”

Those who are normally outraged by a comment like Harry Reid’s, say, if it came from someone like Glenn Beck, are now shamefully not so outraged at all. They held more contempt over the frivolity of Sarah Palin’s wardrobe during the 2008 Presidential campaign! It is like Whoopie Goldberg saying that Roman Polanski wasn’t guilty of “rape, rape.” I guess Reid’s comment isn’t really racist, racist – because he is on the left. Such hypocrisy is infuriating because it masks the truth that real hate comes from the left. .

Indeed, in the recent displays of political games, the liberal left is once again showing their true colors - embarrassing shades of hypocrite and hate.

For A Republican, Outrage but For Reid, Forgiveness

Remember the recent renewed outrage at Rush Limbaugh for a 2003 comment he made about Donavon McNabb while working at ESPN? For weeks, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and others relentlessly beat this dead horse, crying “racism” with such moral indignation. As a result, Rush was disqualified from the opportunity to become partial owner of the Rams.

Remember in 2002, when former Mississippi Senator and Senate Majority Leader, Trent Lott, made his own “poorly misspoken” statement while attending a birthday party for then Sen. Strom Thurmond? The ensuing relentless outrage resulted in Lott resigning from his leadership post. Then-Senator Obama helped lead the charge in calling for the Republican Party to “drive out Trent Lott.”

Now liberal Senator Harry Reid has taken his own turn at “poorly misspeaking” – about President Obama. During the 2008 Presidential campaign, in a private conversation with authors Mark Halperin and John Heileman of the new book, “Game Change,” Reid referred to Obama as “light-skinned” and with “no negro dialect.”

In each case, there were apologies. However, unlike Rush and Lott, the astounding difference for Harry Reid is, he is forgiven. Obama said, “As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.” Wait, it gets better! The ever vociferous Al Sharpton, who calls out every perceived instance of racism he can find on the right, also gives Reid a pass. Sharpton’s response excuses Reid’s poor “word selection” and endeavors to redirect the issue back to his work on Obama Care.

            While there is no question that Senator Reid did not select the best word choice in this instance, these comments should not distract America from its continued focus on securing healthcare or creating jobs for its people.”

Clearly, Sharpton has exposed his hypocrisy. He only cares about racism when it serves the left and their socialist agenda. It is that agenda that comes first; it is far more important. Any threat to it must be shot down, even if it means swallowing racist crow in the form of “forgiveness.”

The Rush to Judgment on Limbaugh

Shameful and beneath any American is the behavior of hate that was on full and proud display not fifteen minutes after it was reported that Rush Limbaugh was taken to the hospital in serious condition due to chest pains. There was a flood of response in online commentary; so many praying for his recovery, and disgustingly, some for his demise.


It is no secret that Rush has long been a target of criticism and attacks from the left. This is to be expected, especially for someone who is known for ardently not withholding his opinion and expertise when it comes to politics and his conservative values. Agree or disagree with him, no one is in the dark regarding where and why he stands on any given issue. It is even expected for him to be hated by some on the left for those things; even more so now for opposing the radical policies of the very polarizing President Obama. All of that is to be expected and even accepted. It is the nature of politics.

However, as Americans, we have crossed the line and gone too far when we wish ill or harm on our opposition. That anyone would pray for Rush to die is beyond the pale. Further, to declare such wishes with such brazen arrogance and glee is appalling and breathtaking. So offensive was it that I cannot quote any of it in good conscience; but you will find it all easily upon investigating it yourselves.

I read more vicious hate mongering from a left that accuses the right of being the haters for passionately disagreeing with them. I saw more hypocrisy from the left who railed, in hyperbolic outrage, against anyone on the right who didn’t grieve with them over the loss of their precious Ted Kennedy. Reading their hateful commentary made me wonder if these people all graduated from the “Alan Grayson School of the Shameful and Ignorant.”

They expose themselves in full and proud abandon with such an opportunity as this, the chest pains of Rush Limbaugh, their most feared and more than worthy rival.

Again, praying for anyone to die is beneath any American. As much as Rush needed our prayers, those who prayed for him to die need our prayers so much more.
