Sticks and Stones

I am done – done, playing along with the political agenda of the radical left. I refuse to be the dog wagged by this small tail any longer. The roaring accusations of racism is not from the mouths of many lions but rather from a few mice with microphones. Just because they accuse us TEA Party patriots of being racists, “official” NAACP injunctions and all, does not make it officially the truth, any more than if they claimed all elephants are tiny. They are just words, lying words, definitely repeated too often, but empty nonetheless. They are mere sticks and stones.

I’m done defending against such baseless and unproven accusations, and foolish, shameful tactics. It avails nothing. They are irrelevant to our cause, so why are we allowing them to find a foothold by even acknowledging them? Why do we continue to allow their disgraceful, exploitative, and divisive blasphemy to distract and deter us from our cause? Why are we falling for their ploy to render our movement ineffective? If this is their best shot, we need to dust it off and forge ahead. When your armor is the Teflon of the truth, even sticks and stones, though they may sometimes hit you, just slide off. It is the truth that always sticks, that always remains. And as Jesus said so well, in John 8:32, “Then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

The truth is that the TEA Party movement is about America loving patriots of all races, political parties, and backgrounds, who 100% disagree with the Obama Administration’s radical agenda to “fundamentally transform America” into a far left, socialist Country. We do not want higher taxes, to grow Government, increase our national debt to unsustainable levels through slush-fund spending bills, nor do the majority of American’s want Universal Healthcare. Despite how earnestly and passionately we have tried to make these desires heard, we have been completely ignored and dismissed. The TEA Party movement began as a means for all like-minded Americans to band together and find a way to finally be heard. Our number one rallying cry of “Can you hear us now?” stems from Rick Santelli’s first question, “President Obama, are you listening?” The more we have been ignored and dismissed, the greater the movement has grown. And despite all hopeful speculations that we will lose steam and eventually die out, we have continued to grow and pick up steam.

Make no mistake; we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, even if Senator Lindsey Graham declares we will. He can get in the line of denial right behind Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid. The truth is that our accusers have finally realized that, indeed, we are not going away of our own accord, so now they must do all they can to make us go away. Calling us “racists” is their best and only shot, which will be successful only if we leave our offensive position to go on the defensive against these lies, playing right into their hands.

When others do not have the ears to hear, it becomes a waste of time to defend ourselves in explaining the truth. Our energies are better spent staying the course of our cause to retake America and steer this Country back in the right direction towards liberty and justice for all, the gift our Founders painstakingly gave of their lives to ensure for us. Teetering this close to tyranny leaves us little room for distractions. Proverbs 4:27 tells us, “Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”

TEA Party patriots have one goal which is to take our Country back from the jaws of tyranny and return her to liberty, and thus for all Americans. Stay the course; remain on the offensive. Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain. We are in the driver’s seat so do not surrender the wheel to the passengers trying to pick a baseless fight with us. Drive on and leave them on the side of the road shouting amongst their selves. They can’t handle the truth.

The truth is we know that TEA Party patriots are not racists. It is called the TEA Party for a reason that has nothing to do with race but everything to do with opposing too much “tax and spending.” The acronym, “TEA,” stands for “Taxed Enough Already.” We just love and want liberty – period. It is that simple. Glenn Beck coined the perfect phrase: “Not racist, not violent, just no longer silent.” To make our cause anything else is a bald face lie and a shameful tactic of distraction, plain and simple.

The truth is that those who accuse us of racism for opposing far left radical policy - policy, a connection for which there are no dots of logic between the two points, foolishly undermine their selves in crying wolf. Playing the race card in a non-racial game makes for a losing hand for them.

The truth is that we care about legitimate racial issues which is why we find it so offensive to not only be called a racist but to also see legitimate concerns undermined. No one wins here, not even the accusers who further divide all of us with their lies. This is not what we want – far from.

We just want our Country heading back in the right direction. We just want to stop the radical destruction of America. We just want to stop the tyranny and get big government out of our lives. We just want our voices to be heard, and heard they will be very soon at the ballot box during the November 2, 2010 mid-term elections, when we fire those who no longer represent us as they were originally voted in to office to do.

As we march toward that day, we must remember to stay the course of truth, ignoring and dismissing this baseless distraction – that is all it is. It is all they have. Sticks and stones…

“Sticks and stones,
From lying drones,
Will never ever stop me.”

Let the truth set you free and march on towards your goal, patriots. The truth keeps marching on.
